Saraswati Puja, which is also known as Basant Panchami, is a Hindu festival that is celebrated to worship Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom, knowledge, arts, and music. Hence, it is most popular among students and scholars, who pray to the goddess for success in their studies and intellectual pursuits.
The festival marks the end of the winter season and the beginning of spring – Basant Panchami means the fifth day of spring(Basant) and is typically celebrated in the month of January or February, depending on the Hindu calendar.
